Measles Alert: What Naples Residents Should Know

Recent measles cases have been reported in our area, and we want to help our patients stay informed and protected.

Measles is a highly contagious viral illness that spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms usually begin with fever, cough, runny nose, and red or watery eyes, followed by a rash that spreads across the body.

MMR vaccine availability

We are currently stocking the MMR vaccine (measles, mumps, rubella) and offering walk-in vaccination with no provider visit required. In most health plans, the MMR vaccine is covered at 100 percent. For uninsured patients or those with high-deductible plans, the cost is 150.00.

What to do if you may have been exposed

If you believe you were exposed to measles, or if you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, red eyes, or rash, please call our urgent care office before coming in. Calling ahead allows us to give you the right guidance while helping protect other patients and staff.
