Advance Medical is on the front lines of COVID-19 treatment in Naples. We provide care for Collier County’s first responders and essential government and city employees through primary care services as well as our Urgent Care.

In addition, our practice and Urgent Care provides much-needed services for the rest of the community. We’ve been doing so for more than 30 years.

We know this community and have the experience to address Covid-19 and other serious illnesses. Like the healthcare facilities across the country, we’re extremely short on testing.

One of our biggest concerns now, is testing for our first responders. Naples firefighters say they’ve had to travel to the east coast to get tested.

More tests available at Advance Medical and other facilities would mean less stress away for busy hospitals.

“It’s chaotic, it’s stressful,” said Dr. Gregory Leach. “It’s a battlefield,” Leach said. “We’re primary care and that’s why we’re here.”

Doctors and nurses are hard at work during the coronavirus pandemic. One of the most difficult parts of the job, says our Practice Administrator Lori-Ann Martell, is telling first responders and others that they can’t be tested for the virus. It is difficult to not be able to answer their questions and address their concerns. There’s nothing we can do and that leaves them, and us frustrated.

Lori-Ann recently sent a letter to Gov. Ron DeSantis, requesting more test kits. WINK News covered the story. Here’s their report.
