Family Nurse Practitioner

Steven Mitnick was born in Miami Beach and raised in Philadelphia. He moved to Miami where he went to college to be a paramedic and registered nurse. After completing his degrees he worked in both emergency room and intensive care unit settings.

Steven then moved to Richmond, Virginia to continue his nursing education as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Upon completion, he moved to Ft. Myers and worked at the Lee County Health Department providing primary care services ranging from newborns to the elderly. He was also involved in the planning and recovery of the region from public health threats including natural and man-made disasters.

After Steven earned his MBA, he accepted the position of Administrator at the Charlotte County Health Department shortly after Hurricane Charley devastated the county. Five years later, he took a job in the private sector working as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Steven is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
